Our surgery unit has five operating rooms, one specialized endoscopy room and leading-edge robotic surgery options for certain surgical procedures. We offer open visitation, and our waiting room has a computerized status board to keep loved ones updated on how long surgery will last and if the patient has been moved to a post-anesthesia care unit (PACU).

Scheduling a surgery
The surgery unit is located within LewisGale Hospital Alleghany. There is ample parking in the lot outside the main hospital entrance. You must register with the front desk at the main entrance before the staff directs you to surgery on the second floor.
The surgical unit and your referring physician will coordinate surgery times, and you will be notified of any limitations on food or water and any other preoperative preparation and postoperative care.
